INVITATION TO BID
Notice is given hereby that Eddy County will receive qualifications-based competitive sealed proposals and will be accepted at the Eddy County Administration Office, Carlsbad, New Mexico, for the construction of the:
Eddy County
Female and Juvenile Detention Centers
Carlsbad, New Mexico
According to Drawings and Specifications prepared by NCA ARCHITECTS, PA, and described in general as:
The scope of work for the Female Detention Center project consists of site grading, preparation and construction of an approximate 9.700 sf Female detention center addition consisting of continuous spread footing and CMU wall construction; steel roof framing with metal deck; TPO roof system; security hollow metal door and frames and security glazing; non-secure hollow metal door and frames and glazing; wall, floor and ceiling finishes; architectural millwork; detention electronics and equipment; mechanical and electrical systems; security upgrades; IT upgrades.
The scope of work for Juvenile Detention Center project consists of site grading, preparation and construction of an approximate 16,500 sf Juvenile detention center consisting of continuous spread footing and CMU wall construction; steel roof framing with metal deck; TPO roof system; security hollow metal door and frames and security glazing; non-secure hollow metal door and frames and glazing; wall, floor and ceiling finishes; architectural millwork; detention electronics and equipment; mechanical and electrical systems; security system.
A separate pre-cast concrete cell package has been bid. The installation of the cell modules will be coordinated with pre-cast cell manufacturer during construction.
Sealed bids will be received at the Eddy County Administration Building, 101 West Greene, Carlsbad, New Mexico, until:
Thursday May 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m.
Bids will be accepted and reviewed. Bids received after that time will not be accepted.
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at the Eddy County Administration Building on Tuesday May 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. All interested parties are encouraged to attend.

Bona fide general contract bidders may secure copies of the proposed Contract Documents from Albuquerque Reprographics, Inc.: (505) 884-0862.
1. Copies of the Specifications and Construction Documents can be obtained upon payment of a $150/set deposit, made out to Eddy County, completely refundable if returned to NCA Architects, postpaid, in satisfactory condition, within (10) calendar days after bid opening.
2. No partial sets will be issued.
Bid security in the amount of 5% of the base bid will be required to accompany bids.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularity in the bids and in the bidding. |
